Default 73 Grand Prix Parting Out

I am parting a 73 GP. It has no engine or trans, but is a straight rust-free car (except for a couple of small rust holes under the vinyl top). Has gauges, Automatic Temperature Control A/C, power windows, console, etc. Please email with needs.

This seems like too nice a car for the demolition derby, but if i get no interest, that is where it will be going in a few months!!

I will have to pull it off, measure and weigh it, and then I will be able to give you a price. Would you be willing to send me your single exhaust crossmember in exchange? Importsmasher

Larry,

I do have the manifolds, but I have to do two things...first, i have to see if they are cracked or have any issues, second I have to check with my brother to see if he needs them for his 73 GTO. I will be out there this weekend, so I will take a look then and get back to you.

Bump...I would really like to get rid of this whole car, as I just bought a 74 GTO (4-speed hatch back - one of 680 - woohoo!!) and I am running out of room...

Thanks,

Does it have a th400 tranny? If so Do you have the wiring harness that goes to the pedal switch to the fusebox & tranny?

Thanks

Ben,

The car did have a TH400. The engine and trans are gone, but I don't know if the wiring is there or not. I will look this weekend and let you know.

Thanks,
Scott

Since it has AC, can you sell me the blower motor resistor? The resistor on my 73 grand Am burnt out, and I'm having a helluva time finding a replacement. Shipped to Bellevue, Ohio 44811

Thanks,

-Joe

Ben, Yoseppi,

I was not able to get to the car this past weekend as my parents irrigated their yard. I will look this weekend. I believe I have both of the parts you guys are looking for. Sorry for the delay.

Thanks,
Scott

No problem, as long as you can get to it, I'd still love to get that part.

Thanks,

-Yoseppi

Well, nobody wanted any significant parts off of the car, so it was destined for the demolition derby, but then my nephew expressed an interest in it, and it is now his. He and my brother (his dad) are putting a 72 400/TH400 in it, and it will be back on the road. While it won't be concours restored, it will be made into a fun cruiser for him.

So it seems we have saved another Pontiac from the scrap heap, and I can sleep at night knowing that I didn't destroy a perfectly good car!! Now I need to find a Ford or something to run in the derby....

OK, so my nephew got his hands on a 69 Firebird 400, so I now have the Grand Prix back....so much for saving it.

I give up on anyone being interested in saving this car, so I WILL be running it in the demolition derby in October, so if anyone needs any parts off of it (other than sheet metal/suspension), let me know because as I strip the interior, trim, glass, etc., it will be scrapped.

Thanks,
Importsmasher

Bump - Parts are now coming off the car...dash, gauges, Automatic Temperature Control A/C system, console, wiring, glass (no windshield), trim, etc....the Demolition derby is in 2 months....let me know if you need anything...all parts go to the crusher with the car after the derby if they aren't sold...
Thanks,
Importsmasher
