I bought the CVF 8 rib serpentine system for our 68 Firebird. Very happy with there product. Had a issue with belt sweal at the start. Went to smaller belt fix that. They do not use a belt tensioner. Adjustment is done with Alternator and power steering. I went with a new power steering pump with the nut and key way on shaft. Easier to remove than the press style pulley. Product made in USA.

You might check out Mike Montanari's YT channel Fast Monty's Garage. He has a '69 GTO that he installed a March system on and has A/C, PS. They are pricey but look fantastic and he seems to really like it. He has a video dedicated to the installation of the system as well. Lee

Be REALLY CAREFUL with aftermarket accessory-drive systems.

Every one I've ever seen looks like it was "engineered" by a high-school kid. Poor belt wrap, too many idlers, failure to use an automatic tensioner even though the OEMS have used them successfully for forty friggin' years...the list of potential problems goes on.

It seems like the older March serpentine kits for Pontiac had a strange pulley adjustment didn't really change belt tension as the pulley moved; have they reengineered that?

Billet Specialties makes the cleanest looking kit... the main bracket is nice and low and keeps things really clean. Expect to pay close to $3500 for it all though!

My buddy has the Billet specialties also. And had no issues with pulleys lining up. Very nice kit!

Thats a lot of $$$ for some "BLING" you can hardly see though! lol

Ha. No doubt. But not seeing a big air conditioning compressor hanging up to the left is part the allure. Tucked tight and low.

And you get to run a better/newer style power steering pump. The thing with Billet Specialties is their main mounting bracket is low and not top heavy.... so you see less of it and the accessories, and more of the motor.

The best front runner version out there by far.

65madgoat, what did you use on your firewall? Just bodywork or a piece of sheet metal?

That looks great!

Not to hijack this thread but 65 MadGoat, where did you run your a/c lines? Through the fenderwell?

That goat's firewall was welded with a firewall kit from DSE or someone and then smoothed.

A/C lines run behind the fenderwell and into a bulkhead in the firewall. How pretty much everyone does it to conceal the 4 hoses.

wow there 65...thats quite nice. I fortunately have the skills and resources I made mine using junkyard pulleys (Ford Taurus and Mustang...) as I could NOT keep the v-belts on when i twisted up the ol 400. Mine doesn't get that low and recently discovered that when I made it (car was fuel injected) that i put the power steering pump too low to run a mechanical pump.....which my new motor is currently running (because I don't have an OLD laptop to run XP to talk with the ECU...always something)
