Is the NFL or at least the Super Bowl going out of style ? I’m not a fan and won’t be watching but I’m surprised how many people I know just seemed to kind of forgot about it this year , including myself . I can’t remember who was in it last year without googling it .

Would rather have seen Washington and Detroit.

Next to the Niners of course

I was a Joe Namath fan and a jets fan so I don’t really watch football

Was a Namath fan - he’s playing for the wrong team now and I don’t mean football

Used to eat, sleep and drink football. Coached for several years but got burned out and lost interest. I will watch today but could care less who manages to win.

It seems like people lost interest when they started mixing non sports stuff with it. I don’t want to break any forum rules, but that is when friends stopped talking about the Super Bowl and parties etc.

Sports was a way to come together (good and bad) and not deal with real world stuff. They kind of messed that up.

Got things done outside. Scrubbed the barn wall clean of cow schlitz. Seems i'd rather have these done then sit and gameboy it.

Played 10 years of padded Little League, and Bowl ith a few ex-college football players. Just no care to see grown men get paid elite money to play that game. Noticed the pregame stuff ran 11AM- 6:30PM. A bit much.

They ruined it years ago. It used to mean something but it really went down hill with all the woke baloney in sports. I could care less now about watching it.

The only bowl I watch was on 3 weeks ago. The NOS Energy Chili Bowl midget race held indoors on a once a year on a 1/5 mile dirt track constructed from clay hauled into the Tulsa Expo Center. They race eliminations for 6 days coming down to an A main feature on the 6th day. Kyle Larson was the victor this year, it was the 39th running.

Football, I wouldn't walk across the street to watch it for free..........

Football takes too long. Too many commercial time outs, delays etc.

No thanks.

It is amusing that the NFL spends all this energy promoting itself here in the EU, but schedules the "big game" to start at midnight GMT. On a Sunday, err Monday.

My Eagles defense was to much for the Chiefs. Mahomes was shook up from the start. It was the best Super Bowl ever for me.
I've been following the Eagles and Phillies since I was a little kid.
Bookies must have lost a lot of money on that game. I won $100. off a buddy of mine.

There was very little coverage of Taylor. Might have had something to do with the fact Kelce was a non factor in the game.

I found it refreshing not to have to see Taylor more than once (or maybe it was twice).

Seriously, it's a football game. Who cares who is in the audience?

You're not wrong, but there is a simple solution to much of it. Stream the game and start watching it about 2 hours after it starts - or in your case, the next morning. I haven't watched commercials or the idiotic halftime show in years. DVR technology has been one of the great inventions of the 21st century when it comes to entertainment.

She was definitely not 'featured' as much this time as in the past. Perhaps FOX finally understands it may not be good for their business? For me the highlight of the game (besides Mahomes and Kelce crapping the bed and rolling in it) is when she was put on the jumbotron and soundly booed by the crowd.

I have a strong dislike for the new kickoff rules.
