Those are the wrong size. The RAIV pushrods are 11/16" in diameter. If all else fails you can widen the gap in the standard 5/16" guide plates.

Thanks for the correction, 11/16" would be pretty big.

I know back in the day HO Racing talked about just using a 11/32 pushrod shoved in the 5/16 "stock" guideplates to enlarge them.

Smith Brothers will make You 11/32" pushrods.
Even get them in Titanium .
You need $$$$ for Titanium pushrods.
BBC Corporate Race Loves Titanium pushrods.

Not really needed in Poncho Pontiac V8.
Valvetrain toss weight is light.
Modern Race heads have huge valves.
2.30-2.500" intakes.

I tried making 11/32 "pushrod guide plates from stock 5/16.
The guideplates broke in my Bench vise.
Super hard Carburized steel alloy.

Wouldn't have to worry about them bending!

FWIW the Melling style 11/32 pushrods are not very strong. I bent one just spinning motor over by hand when rocker got in a bind! Why UI went 3/8" on that RAIV motor.

Modify the 5/16 guide plates by taking a old 11/32 ra 4 pushrod and tap it with a hammer into the 5/16 opening. Then carefully "tweek it" back and forth to open it up a little more for clearance for the 11/32 pushrods. I've done it many times and works fine.

If push rod length or strength is an issue for you, Manton also makes 11/32" in various wall thickness and any length. Yes the OE 5/16" can carefully be opened-up for the 11/32 size.
