Default Has the forum changed?

"My how this forum has changed, can't even debate an issue anymore"
In response to this from another thread, I don't think it has. I have been lurking for better than ten years with a thread or a post here and there.
From the beginning I have noticed that there are some who are highly opinionated as in my way is the only way. I have been sufficiently entertained by those threads.
Other times I have noticed that after about two pages that posts on some threads have deviated from responses to the original query.
This is an observation, not a complaint. I find the wealth of information on this site is unsurpassed.

What you don't see in that other thread are the deleted posts where people had gone beyond debate and were arguing and insulting each other. People sometimes forget (or ignore) the rules they agreed to when they joined the board. The administrator laid out accepted behavior in this post from one of the sticky notes at the top of the Lobby: https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...77&postcount=2

That doesn't go completely unnoticed. And it's greatly appreciated that you guys will often take the time to go through a thread and weed out the "bad" posts so that the thread can survive. Thank you.

even though I don't know the discussion you are speaking about, I don't have to.

I have seen it, and I appreciate it when someone is being rude (ect) and you guys step in.

Twenty or thirty years ago, what would you had thought was being implied if the term 'drunk posting' was mentioned?

LOL

You have your self appointed experts that if you give an opinion that’s not in line with what they think you’re wrong and that’s that. In my option a lot at good advice is lost do to this it’s not worth dealing with a key board expert.
