Default New engine start up today!!!

Time to turn the key. 66 gto I've owned for 40 yrs.
461 with SD KRE 300 heads, Mike Jones cam, RA manifolds, switch pitch th400, fattened up tri power...etc.
Idles perfect and sounds awsome.
Tomorrow we go for a ride.

Wow! Exciting to hear it fire up after a fresh build. Can you post a little clip so we can hear it run?

Would like to see a pic of the new engine. Like "tempest1964" said, to hear it would be nice but I don't think video or sound clips are possible on this site at this time.
Enjoy your ride.

Really nice GTO!

You can put sound clips and videos of her being driven on Youtube and then post the Youtube links here. We would love to hear her and see her smoking her tires, Thanks.

OK
I took old green up to the top of our mountain pass for a little break-in run. I also took dad for ride...he is 97 and still loves the Pontiacs. We were a Pontiac dealer from 1960 until the end. Dad can tell you most any thing about early SD, 425A Trophy, Ram Air etc.
Anyway the car runs really well . I would recommend the Mike Jones HR cam to anyone. 360 lobe, 229/236 on 112. Over 600 lift with the HS 1.65 rockers.
It idles nice and seems to pass 5200 rpm with ease.
Thanks for the compliments
Roger Perry
