Thought the good His and Hers went on '67s and the cheap one on '68s. Thought it was standard on THM goats.

Used to have one of each...somewhere.

Then in 69 and 70 there was something like a slap shift but wasn't from Hurst.

Looking what they say and what our members say about these makes it hard to want anything else. 8.5 lbs feels like a feather next to a standard starter which is 22 lbs.

I'm reducing a lot of weight in the engine compartment on my car. When I add it all up, I'm afraid the car is going to sit too high in the front. If so, I'll deal with that later and change out the springs. I'll have weight reductions with the starter, A/C compressor, aluminum intake manifold and aluminum radiator. I bet it will all add up to 100 lb savings. Stock cast intakes are extremely heavy and so are the original radiators.

The '68 conv. went for $42k. Very good deal for the buyer.

After going back and looking at that '68 closer, I think it has some real concerns. It looks great on top but underneath not so good. Looks like POR-15 was brushed on over pretty rusted parts and it was done poorly too. Doesn't even look like it was cleaned first. There is also enough rust underneath to know there was repaired rust in the body too. A receipt shows both quarters were replaced. With no restoration photos there's no way to know how well it was done or how long that paint job will last. Putting quarters on those is tricky because quarters aren't made for convertibles and coupe quarters have to be altered a lot to fit those on. There are shape differences.
