What I think the good Doctor is trying to say is that a 1/18th scale model of Jim Wangers Blackbird is finally being made.

My GF in high school worked at the pharmacy in town - I was pretty good at reading Dr.'s shorthand.

Alrighty then, now I know. Doesnt look like a very high quality model. The grilles and headlights look kind of goofy, and the chrome trim looks way too wide. Why not just get a quality plastic model and paint it to match?

Actually the final product should be pretty nice. This is a just the prototype.

It is based on the Lane's 1/18 Firebird which was very well detailed.
