Default Body shop just called,

Finally got my Pete outta paint, should pick it up tomorrow, (suppose to snow, figures) still have to polish out the steps and install them, have 7" chrome cab high stacks on order and as soon as the weather breaks, we'll get here over to the pin strippers.

"ONLY" took a year to get her done, but it should look good toting around my Pontiacs!

Impressive (...that's some pretty serious hardware!).

We should see if we can talk Beemergary into posting some pics (here or on another thread) - he's redoing a vintage Pete for hauling his cars around.

Most of these conversions are on the Pete 330 series with the Cummins 6.7 300 HP motor, this is it's big brother Pete 384 Cummins ISM 425 HP and 1550 ft lbs TQ.

She runs along pretty nice!

It's actually a new truck or at least it was when I bought it. It's an 2010 that Peterbilt subed out to have the crew cab conv. done, about have thru they went bankrupt.

Pete had to call there dealer in Indy to get it out of the bank's possession and it sat half finished in the back of his yard for a year and a half.

I stopped in one day for some parts for my 2001 Pete and he saw it was a single axle and we got talking trucks and he asked me if I know anyone that would be interested.

I asked him what they wanted for it, he said make an offer, Peterbilt wants it off their inventory sheet and I want it off my lot.

So I made them a stupid offer thinking they would never take it, they did! It started out as a custom day cab, it is the most optioned semi I have ever seen, right down to it's heated Leather seats, GPS in the dash, XM radio and ultrashift tranny.

This will probably be the last truck I buy, retirement is just a couple of years away and now I have the perfect tow vehicle for that big camper to see the country, lol
