That's hauling @$$! Not sure you'd gain much, if anything, by going with 4.33's. What's your RPM going thru the lights?

the yearly bump?

the 18th annual Pure Stock Muscle Car Drags was this past weekend. Another outstanding time. Even though I was fighting a sore throat and my starter decided to crap out on friday and I spent half the day under the car (only needed one push start the rest of the weekend) it was still about as perfect as one could hope for. I think I now have a bracket car. Since we like numbers, how about et's of 12.88, 12.90, 12.85, 12.77, 12.91, 12.89. mph were between high 109s, to low 111s. Didn't miss any gears all weekend and won my shootout. First victory with the new motor, so it made the drive home with my sore throat that much better.
no 4.33 gears ... yet. but I'm working on it.

I saw you run and very impressed with what you and your car did. What a great weekend for racing. Weather was almost perfect considering it was supposed to rain in the earlier forecast. Lots of nice cars and lots of Pontiacs!

Woohoo!!! That's really moving! I'm getting closer with my car, but still won't be ready this year.

This isn't an issue for the Pure Stock and Factory Stock Drag racing. Sadly, no I didn't bring my car (wish I did as a lot of guys ran personal bests). It was a 2 day event, but I had other plans on Sat so couldn't bring my car.

btw Tim, I almost did blow up the original engine a couple years ago. Got REAL lucky. Only damage was a cracked balancer (in the keyway) which has since been replaced and the bottom end was checked out too. Then the motor was dyno'd. And I know people are going to ask so, the build by the second owner put out just under 300hp and the power dropped off the table after 5000rpm as the valve springs are shot.

Chassis dyno? Or engine dyno? And care to say what the new engine makes? PM me if you don't want to say on the forum. I am helping a friend build a 72' Lemans GT 400/4speed. I have somewhat of a game plan for the engine, would love to bounce ideas off people who have built a strong combination.

There was video taken. Not sure when it's going to be available. There was also a live video feed. IIRC, during my 3rd round of the shootouts, Tom Shaw was right there at the guard rail while I was in the burnout box. So I made sure to do a real nice one, a little longer than usual too. We will see if that picture makes it anywhere.

it'll be interesting to see who gets their's done first. you, or Mike and his GT-37. I can't wait for both of them.

Default Love it!!!

Dennis Jensen/Jimmy Johnson took my T-37 down that track at the 2004 PSMCDs!

Great to see your cars there on the track 8 years later! Well done, guys!

Hey Kevin,

I had a great time flogging the GT-37 back then. It ran easy low 13's with a best of13.04 at 104 mph, almost a into the 12's! I'm sure it could have done it with a little more play time. That is a very nice GT!

Well, it wasn't the burnout pic, but Tom's great shot make the car look much better than it really is. For the second month in a row, I was very surprised to see the ole girl grace the pages of HPP. April, it was a great shot on the table of contents where I was launching the car at Bryon Dragway during the POCI race. For May, which just came in the mail today, it was an article by Tom, Pontiacs at The Pure Stock Drags. A nice shot and writeup of my shootout along with 5 other shootouts. The last page lists all the results of the Pontiacs at Stanton. Thanks Tom

another bump. sadly, things came up and I never got the 4.33s finished in time.

I know The Boss can't make it. But will we see a gold winning HO M-22 show up this year? weather this year looks to be awesome, mid to low 60s. Plan to head north tomorrow afternoon after I get my truck back (one of the things that came up)

Me thinks Chris mentioned my GT-37 coming this year. But, next year for sure!

I have to prove the driver can do better than 16 sec in a 12 sec car......

Have fun out there and enjoy. But, don't get Lyndon mad!
