Thanks for the video. I dont remember seeing that one. When I was called that my new TA SD455 was in I couldnt wait to go see it. It wasnt ready for me to take it. When I walked into the back garage of Constantine Pontiac in East Liberty, here was setting a Amirality Blue TA. I said is this mine??!!. The next day Jim Miller ( he is the guy that ran roundy round Pontiacs including a 468 RAV that I helped him get the heads)prepped the car. I went to pick it up after work. I noticed there was less the half tank of gas(East Liberty at dusk I went directly home) so on the way home I left car in drive. I felt the torque and solid shifting of the trans. I still remember most of the feelings, wow, wow, wow!! This is mine,I was I guess proud. Cruising around later, wow the upshift into 3rd was something I never felt in a M40 before. I installed a shift kit in my buddies 67 Yenko 427.Some azz said I put SD455 decals on the scoop! I just smiled and drove away. My experience.

Here is another one to add to the young Herb Adams factory vid but on all "455" Pontiacs from 1970 all the way from core moulding to pouring the castings to final testing.

of course the SD's they went several steps further. It is amazing just how much check and verify was done along the way to produce quality 455's

Machining the main journals one by one was interesting. Love the fully machined combustion chamber scene.
I can hear Chevy ah It's not really Important to have a consistent combustion chamber volume and shape...

Thanks for the video. Amazing the technology at that time. At the very end I notice a shiny sticker on the valve cover but couldnt make out what it said. I was thinking where have all those engines, machines and employees gone?
