Question Fast 68 GTOs?

Hello Everyone,

I am just getting back into the Pontiacs and was wondering who out there has a fast 68 GTO? I am talking into the 8s? or maybe even 7s?? Any pictures also???

A few years back I saw a street driven Black 68-69 GTO on the net somewhere that was running in the 8's and it was PURE PONTIAC -tubbed etc. it was from California --any pics of this AWESOME car anyone.

Look up "old68goat" he was going 8.20's on NO2. He is selling alot of stuff. Search performance parts for sale. "IA2 505 parts for sale" I think. HTH.

Heres a Awesome low 10 sec. 68 GTO street legal with mufflers and street tires sold by Jerry Steinbrick in 2002--Ram air V - 4.56 gears etc. Jerry sure was a RAM AIR V fan ie. 5 RAM AIR V Cars including a mid to low 8 sec. Grand Prix plus he also had half a dozen extra RAM AIR V motors-pic courtesy The Ultimate GTO Site .

Not a GTO, but Shane Molinari has a 1968 Tempest that qualified with a 8.16 at Norwalk a couple years ago.

That black GTO is beautiful. I dont live to far from Jerry but I have never seen that car.

Thanks for the link to the wheel standing 68!!!! If a car with some power hooks at Norwalk the results are what you see in that picture.

Radical Redskin looks like the 68 GTO benchmark.
