Default 1967-1970 Pontiacs in Virginia Salvage Yard

These have been there for a long time...Leon's near Culpeper, VA. He's been clearing out cars since the last time I was there.

Do you have contact information? Do they sell parts?

Sure. They do sell parts and let you walk around the 100+ acre yard and pull parts yourself. Leon's, 540-547-2366. I've been going there since 1989. Nice guy.

Thanks, I found it. http://www.fordification.com/salvage...ns-auto-parts/

Not many salvage yards in my area have cars older than 1980 or 85.

Thumbs up Long ago..

Leon's WAS a great place, we haven't been out for over a decade.
We would make weekend trips out and even then the pickens where slim,
but we still managed to pick some good stuff.
If your ever back tell him the G.T.O.S. says hello!
Lots of good times spent in the old iron wonderland

Here are some old shots from a few visits...

I haven't been to Leon's for many years either. Things were pretty slim like Jeff said. They were much better organized than Bettys place though.

Jeff, some of your pictures look like you were at Andy Pauwliks place in Montross. I had a couple of cars there several years ago.

Very possible mixed in the file.
We covered a lot ground back then.

Another one we use to visit

We stopped going after the old guy started losing a grip and thought the world was out to steal all his emblems

Andy died a year or so ago.

My friend Doug lives in Richmond and he still goes to Phil Bates on occasion but I have never been. Doug says it is not nearly as good as it used to be. What's new? Time marches on.
