No, not in 1973. it was on the glove box door in 1974, and started on the dash in 75.

Are you looking to restore a 73 or 74 SD455 car or make a protourer? If it's the latter you'd be better served by looking for a plain-Jane 73 or 74 Esprit and adding the bolt-on body parts. Not many people are crazy enough to destroy a rare six-figure valued car to make a five-figure pro-touring car out of it, though we have seen that happen in recent years. Just figured I'd ask since you already have a car that would probably run circles around a stock SD already. :-) Or maybe you have an orphan SD455 drivetrain that needs a home?

I have a complete carb to pan SD Y8 code engine I am looking to find a body to install it in. The only mod would likely be a upgrade on the trans to get OD to make it more drivable

Unfortunately no, it came from an estate sale in Florida so the seller had passed on and not available to question. I actually bought it from another person who bought it from the guy who got it at the estate sale.
With the salt air it is likely the body dissolved back in the 80's and was sent to heaven before the craze hit.

That is the EXACT car I would like to build, a spoiler less formula, but I know there were more SD T/A's built so I am sure that is what I will wind up building

Feel free to to tempt me. :-) I sold my yellow and white, 1971 hemicuda convertible back in 1987...for the then insane sum of $54,000. I have been kicking myself for over 25 years now. I think the total number of kicks is now around three million...ouch.

Here's the link on my SD Formula in case you hadn't run across it before. http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=736345

If you have the partial VIN you can search it on the website. Maybe the car is still out there.
