Very sharp. Just drive and enjoy. Looks like a fun package. I wrecked my first '64 GTO (It was a clone) in 1985. I was looking to replace it. Almost bought a silver '70 LT1, 4-speed, Camaro. It had 60k miles on it and was mint all original They were asking $6k back then. I found my current '64 GTO (Real documented) a week later and bought it instead. Paid $4,500 for my car. That was all the money in the world back then lol.

Wow a 427 4 speed ?? Not many can say that. She’s beautiful!! Leave her as is and drive her and remember your brother. That’s likely what he would want ( and me too if I was up there ).

My high school senior year ride 70 SS. Interestingly it had a TA rear spoiler and a Firebird emblem on the glove box. Maybe it was a sign I would be restoring, racing, and driving Pontiacs for over 30 years!

I’d do the car however my brother would have wanted it. Under those circumstances. Just my .02 which is probably all it’s worth.

My opinion , not the car. That’s awesome!

Just got done putting Dakota gauge dash in. Love how it came out. Thinking of doing it to the 72 lemans. A lot nicer without the aftermarket tach and gauges.
Changed the header gaskets wow so much easier than the Pontiac.
Also found it only had 25 degrees of timing, 21 in the distributor and 4 initial. Bumped the initial up to 15 and 36 degrees in at 3000rpm. Idles and runs so much better
My dad redid the car after my brother died but had no clue on tuning.

Never seen a Camaro with a Firebird rear spoiler. It looks really good on there... a lot better than a Firebird with a Camaro spoiler...

Things brings back some memories for me.

My brother (who passed away unexpectedly 9 years ago at 48) had a 70 Camaro very similar to Mcronk's (except a black vinyl top) back in the day. I thought about getting one as a tribute to him, but ended up with my 70 GTO instead.

I think he'll understand...still in the GM family.

What a great family heirloom and story. Personally, I would not touch a thing. The work on the car is obviously well done and reflects how much your brother and father thought of it. The car as is has so much more character than just another stock looking machine and a story that validates the look.
