Tim Bachman of BTO Has Died
Tim Bachman, a co-founding guitarist and vocalist of Bachman-Turner Overdrive, has died of brain cancer at 71. His brother Randy was a member of the Guess Who, then BTO with Tim in 73, died a couple of years ago at 69.
Canadian band BTO was one of my favorite bands back in the 70s and again when he rejoined the band in the 80s. "Takin' Care of Business" and "No Time" have been a part of my all-time favorites. RIP Tim. You and Randy will be missed but never forgotten.

Randy Bachman is very much alive still. I just saw him in concert a few months ago.

He's probably mistaking Randy for Robbie Bachman who died earlier this year at 69.

Randy has a syndicated radio show that I could listen to… until our local classic rock station changed formats.
Even though my age might not indicate it, I am pretty old school - so I don’t stream music, I either own it, or hear it via terrestrial radio…

Yep, my mistake. It was Robbie that died earlier.
Wasn't Tim with the Guess Who, or was it just Randy?

Tim was charged by Abbotsford police with sexual interference. The minor was his eleven year old foster kid. A couple of years later, they charged him with an even earlier offense. Another minor. No convictions, but big if true. And, according to his brothers, he was fired from BTO for breaking Randy's lifestyle rules (no alcohol and drugs). As you can imagine, I have serious reservations as to whether Tim deserves a tribute or not.
