Oh My... That's Bewtiful!!! Agreed, that is better looking than Anything I've Ever seen come from Edelbrock.

Well worth the time don't you think Tom? I noticed a earlier comment that you intend to paint yours.

Don't know if I can bring myself to spray mine, I do like the idea, but just look at it... just look at it...

Can't wait to see the late casting, many thanks and much appreciation to all involved!!!

That manifold looks fantastic. Appears to be a very high quality casting, it actually looks too good. The original GM bathtubs look very rough in comparison.

Can you tell me approximately what the finished flange opening size will be for the ports? Late model manifold. I am finishing up the heads now and would like to put them on the block and button that up. That way, when the bathtub arrives, I can just bolt it up and go straight to the dyno. I picture being on the dyno a week after I receive the intake. Thanks guys. Appreciate all the effort.

When the time comes what is everyone going to do for carb linkage. I guess we all can come up with some cobbled together version. At one time I believe Fabcraft was reproducing the correct linkage. Maybe he will be interested in producing a one time run of linkages for anyone who wants one.

The outlets in the intakes are stock size,we did that so they can be made too necessary, that was explained early on.More EZ to open up then add material.
On linkage it will depend what carbs are used.If carbs with the throttle arm like. Chevy with the large hole on top aftermarket 409 linkage will work fine.If carbs with SD arms the Fabcraft is perfect.I think Edelbrock makes a linkage. If running solid linkage it EZ to fab a arm between the 2 carbs.Tom

Thanks Tom. Not trying to be too picky but. Which stock size? Are we talking any old Pontiac 389/400? Or stock 421 SD, whatever that was? Or stock Ram Air IV? Or stock SD-455? Each was different. A Felpro Gasket number would be a tremendous help. Thanks again, Just trying to stay ahead of the game. Going to make my heads fit a gasket, then when the intake comes, make it fit the gasket as well.

Intake port dimensions and port locations in relation to the deck surface on both 1970 #13 and 1964 9770716 heads here: http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=636024 Of interest here is the fact that the 1964 heads have the intake ports located .250” higher than the 1970 heads, quite a difference even with the port sizes being essentially the same.

Same size/location comparison between 1970 #13 and 1969 #722 RAIV: http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=636309

Thank you B-man and Tom. I found everything I need within the thread and links. May have to fill the E-heads just a little. They were CNC ported. Now I have the measurements I need. Pretty excited. Won't be long now.

In Photo #6 is it an optical illusion that 3 of the runner pairs have a nice radius betweei the pairs of ports and in the last picture posted the runner pair on the bottom left of the picture 6 appears to have a sharp thin divider vs a radius.

Here is a better view, the fillet between port pairs are all the same.

The late model port measures 2.05" high x 1.150" wide.

Thanks again. More measurements to work with. Looks like plenty of roof height to raise it as needed. That's where the HP lives. Would like to use as much of it as possible. Looks like no issue.
