Hi folks, I have 4 rally ll wheels off my 67 gto stamped Jc. Are they worth anything or are the destined for scrap?

Thanks in advance

Definitely worth something to someone. Not sure of the stamped code but even run of the mill mass produced rally 2 wheels in decent condition are worth ~$40-$50ea. Post them for sale here or other local places and Im sure they will sell.

Scrap prices they are worth about $2 ea, if that!

If the wheels are in good condition, someone would buy them. I find allot of rally wheels are bent when I check them on my balancer. To get good money for them, they need to be spun on a balancer to verify they are not bent. A nice set of 4 straight, not rusty rally wheels should bring $200.00-300.00.

Aren’t the lug seats an area of concern as well, rust and many years of on/off can wallow them out?

If one did have a set of valuable wheels with wonky lug seats, what would be the fix? Weld a bead and have it machined down?

Condition is everything.

Shipping cost is usually a deal breaker these days on heavy or bulky stuff.

I just sold 4 Rally II's for $180 with trim rings. I felt lucky to get rid of them. They had been sitting in the barn for almost 40 years. I'm trying to sell 1 JA Rally II (67-68 disc brake wheel)for $100. No interest yet. Apparently they are only worth $ to someone looking for a specific wheel.

in the late 1990's 14" Rally II's were the big money ones;
Things have changed since then, to where 14" Rally II's are as I have understood it a little harder to sell.
I have noticed in the past several years that interest has gained to the point that a little over a year ago, I went out of my way to complete a set of four 15" Rally II's because of an interested party;
I had stopped collecting and selling wheels about a decade back because I noticed it was getting harder and harder to sell - but on occasion I would buy 14" or 15" wheels (albeit only 7" wide examples) when I saw them offered locally for cheap...

I would say that they are absolutely worth something;
It is worth noting that typically a set will get the most money, and a matched set is the best.

I just looked up information that I have compiled on steel wheels, and found this:

JC = 1967 – 1968 drum brake (A-body)**; 1967 Firebird w/disc brakes; 1968 all Firebirds; 4” backspacing
(this is in my 14"x6" Rally II information category)

There is a document floating around which does not list the JC wheel, but I think it is in error, and likely based on a master parts catalog - which would replace OE parts with available stuff.

I hope this helps!!

EDIT: being correct to 1967 & 1968 GTO's as well as 1967 & 1968 Firebirds, I would think they are surely worth keeping around.
