The post referred to was an effort last referenced by the OP (Mike S) while he was an employee at PY. That was 10 years ago, while PY existed, right before the sale to Ames. On GP lower quarter panel "patch panels", I'd ck with Ames if there is any current effort being put forth to bring anything to market.

As far as a reproduction '71-72 GP tail panel goes, I doubt that will ever happen. Historically too low of demand & too high of tooling/ development cost. Of note, there is no reproduction tailpanel for '69 Pontiac A-bodys or '70-72 Pontiac A-bodys. Both of those have been high demand pieces. As the rear body structure amounts to several pieces that are spotwelded together & join the trunk floor, the stamped rear trunk/body mount panel may be needed as well. Def something to investigate.

If interested in rust-free straight 1/4 panels from a non vinyl top '71 Grand Prix, can take pics of a those pieces on a parts car that I've been processing. Would also consider selling this sheetmetal as basically a rear body section.
