Mine was Cardinal Red, White Vinyl Top & White/Black tuxedo interior - wrong block & trans in car but came with correct on both. Unrestored with one repaint when I bought it in 1993, WW5, 4spd, Power Windows & A/C too - 5?,000 original mile car.

Couldn't give it away in 2013.

Default ww5

Seems like ever since that Cardinal Red ww5 sold at Mecum last year the interest has heighten. There have been some for sale since but looking for one like the one that sold at Mecum. Minus the Side stripes, Steel wheels. KR Rally Wheels would be my choice. But if one comes along with the 15x7 Honeycombs i can always find a set of KR rallys. I do know of a Cardinal Red 4 spd ww5 car in P.A. through a friend but the guy has owned it since 1980 and he isn't ready to part with it yet i hear. It has a few dents on the car but otherwise original and very clean condition. Hopefully as time goes on somebody on this forum will hear that one is for sale. Not afraid to pay mucho dollars for the right car.

Default ww5 gto

Hey guys.... Would like to mention that if anyone runs across a ww5 cardinal red with black buckets with or without black vinyl top for sale in excellent unrestored or restored to stock condition that ends up with a sale I will offer a generous finders fee. Any doubts about my sincerity... Ask my friend Judgeman 69 70. He knows me well enough.

Not sure if these two were accounted for listed, but here you go.

Green(?) one looks like its badly rusted.

Orange one is listed for sale (no $ listed contact seller)

Hey guys..... Anybody know of someone in North Carolina who recently bought a '72 GTO 455 H.O Cardinal Red with Black vinyl top with 38,000 original miles Turbo 400 auto trans from Buffalo. Not a ww5 car but factory ordered many separate items of a ww5 option. Any leads would be appreciated. It sold for 40k. Will pay the owner 45 to 50k if he wants to re sell.

I offered up mine. Sent you the PHS and told you about all of the options that were added to the car and that it was restored in 98 and asked for you to call me if you had any questions. You never even replied. I probably would have sold you the car for $40K. Good luck in your venture as you know these cars are a dime a dozen specially a born with #'s matching car.

Dont know why you have an attitude without finding out what happend? I never recieved anything from you. You sent it i never got it. So you sound bitter about it. And wasn't looking for you to give it away as far your 40k offer. Would have been nice if you would have replied to me on this forum like you did today so the mixup could have been avoided. Since you never got a response from my email. I would have answer you right here. Your car is a really nice car so no need to sound offended.

Big Jim Brown is a sensitive guy. Misunderstanding should lead to a discussion. Possibly by phone...

Sorry about the mixup but like i said i never got any email from him. Don't know what might have gone wrong with his email to me. But i know if someone was interested in my car and i didn't hear from him through email i would have attempted to contact him right here on this forum. But everybody's different. But again nothing was intentional on my part to disrespect him or his car.

I replied to your PM's . You sent me 2 of them last Wednsday and Thursday. I was'nt able to reply back until Saturday evening as I had Knee surgery on the 19th. so stairs were'nt gonna happen right away. I sent you a copy of the PHS on my 74 Formula by accident and than sent you a copy on the 72 GTO along with all the info you had asked for. I also left my phone # 262-470-4112 and said call me if you have any other questions. I'm not mad,so if you are interested call me and lets see if we can work something out.

Sorry to hear about your health. Hope you feel better. I found out what the problem was. For some reason your email from your account was recognized as junk mail on my Hotmail account. Apologize for that. Don't know why that happened but when it does go to junk mail I don't get a notification. It just gets stored in the junk mail bin. You car is a beauty I have seen a pic you posted awhile back. But me being stickler for factory stock I feel it would be ashame to spray the hood over for the removal of the hood tach, considering how nice the paint is and trunk lid to remove the rear spoiler. I have a good spray guy but would be pissed if the paint wouldn't match exactly the rest of the car.. Again sorry for the mixup. BTW congrats on owning a super rare '74 SD 455 Formula Firebird's. I know they only built 43 in '73 but don't know off the top of my head how many were built in'74. No hard feelings Jim.

Also note the tires. I kinda like the blackwall look, especially with the black steelies and doggy bowls, but ALL Y99 optioned GTOs were OEM equipped with white-lettered G60x15 Goodyear Polyglas GTs.
Firestone G60X15 white letter tires came on Y99 handling package also. My Brother had one of these rare '72 GTO's 45 years ago and his had Firestone G60X15. Too bad they don't repo the G60X15 Firestone just Good years in that size.

I'm sure Pontiac used a supplier that met its demand. Goodyear, Firestone, Uniroyal, all used I've seen and not sure it's was dealer controlled or buyer?

Only common denominator was biasply RWL and G60x15...
