Defroster Vent Dash Bezel (70 GTO)
Is there a bezel that goes around the defroster vent where it attaches to the dash? This looks like garbage. 70 GTO w/ factory A/C.

I wish that Y duct was repopped, I too don't care for the look.
You can repair the plastic and shoot it with trim paint to get it to look pretty good. If you're not concerned with the OE look, you can affix a screen on the underside to clean up the look from the top, but it will block some air flow. How much depends on how fine a mesh screen you get. You can use the duct tabs to hold the screen in place. You can look for donor replacements too. I've been thinking about ways to clean this area up for a while now, on different cars. Once you go to aftermarket 'case' type units like Vintage Air, you need some type of solution. There are some aftermarket pieces for that area, but most don't fit very well, and/or look that good. With aftermarket stuff sure you understand that a regular type hose is used, and not a formed duct work. On the 2nd gen F bodies, good thing is the air blows out of a rectangular hole, which you can affix premade adapters to. Those can also be used to fab other solutions, so look at the aftermarket AC vendors and see what they offer maybe. .
