....haVE a TC 275 ALLISSON TORQUE CONVERTER
BEHIND TH 400 ON A 65 421 ENGINE

EVER HEARD OF THIS CONVERTER .... like to know the spec.. stall speed

The only thing that comes to mind is that such might have been used in is the overdrive version of the TB 400 that was used in motor homes.
Is it a 13 inch converter?

Tc 275 has a 1.96 stall ratio...1200 to 1400 depending on gas or diesel. Tc 290 has a stall of 1.72...1000 to 1200
