Default Red '68 GTO in New Movie

Have seen lots of stuff mentioned about Pontiacs in TV shows & movies, thru the years.

Been seeing the ad for a new Hallmark movie called "Redemption in Cherry Springs".

You can see short glimpses a red '68 GTO in it. It's comin on in Sept on one of the Hallmark channels.

Below is the best online pic of it I could find, just now.

No idea how much it is used or shown in the movie.

I love the vent windows.

And, believe it or not I wish the GTO had been available in a two door post sedan.

Do you really think it's numbers matching all original?"

As you probably know, in some years, the GTO WAS available with a post. I suppose the most famous one we ever saw close up was the '72 Super Stocker that Sonny Ray drove at the '78 Cajun Nationals race.

I had a '69 Tempest post car. So, if somebody really wanted a post GTO, one could easily be built, if they didn't care about it being original factory correct.

The last pic shows that same '69 Tempest, after it was built as a modified "ET" clone.

Ok, more specifically, I mean in 1968 or 1969.

I kick myself In The butt for letting a nice, running driver HO 350 68 Tempest bench seat column shift get away.

That movie is on now !

They just cut the back of the driver's seat open & found drug money inside.

Main thing I noticed about the car is that it's REALLY red. Not my favorite color. But, who cares !

Just going by the RamAir decal on the hood of that car -
only the 455-HO would have gotten that.
But his car had a lot of stickers it didn't come with from the factory
- so - no telling for sure.

To the point, it would have been a "1 of 10 built" 72 Post GTO 455-HO
3 Manual
7 Automatic
His looked like an Automatic Shifter and Class SS/KA

Cool Car and cool pictures. Thanks

JC really built a mean machine with your old 69 Tempest
