Even if your valve lift you ran was only allowing 240 intake cfm , that in conjunction with the high compression was likely making for another 30 to 40 hp over what the OP will make.
70K mileage 340 HP cast piston short block, so probably lower than 11:1,listed as 10:1 .The high perf big port #690 heads . Factory dual quad intake two Holley 715s sideways. Hooker 2 piece wrap around the frame headers 1 7/8". Thrush header mufflers on the street. Crane "F-Nitro 310/320" .580/.590 lift cam. Even though different classes ran even with Dave Boertman's Rod Shop 340 Dart in time trials! But premium leaded gas was cheap back then! "But it's just a 348 truck motor will you give me some lengths" Most folks forgot about the 409 by the early 70s and I took the badges off the fenders. Muncie with a Mr. Gasket Verigate.

I got a 65 with 400, 66 tri power, cast 16s and H/O 744HL, RA manifolds, late Muncie and 3:42s 12 bolt. I am not able to get out of 13s traction is big problem. Top end best is 108 with 13.30 in the fall. So I think the hp is there but if I don't feather off the line the risk of breakage is there. My 60fts are in the 2.20s. With a much larger motor than mine with decent tires even 2.20 60s I think mid 12s are reachable. With and Auto 11s are within reach.

Unless I missed it, a stock fuel system, tank and pickup is going to be an issue even in the 13s.

Yes an electric fuel pump will be needed. A Holley Red behind the 455 and Carter with the 400. Both stock tanks and lines.

I got in the 12s with stock lines, tank and the sock taken off the pickup with 3/8" hose section in its place. 80gph Holley pump. Almost made 11s. 12.09

Should be a fun ride..head/cam combo is what I ran low 11's and into the 10's in good air with a 308 gear automatic.
A goal of low 12's would be good..the car should mph pretty high even walking it out easy ..just need to find the sweet spot for launch..once she's planted hang on.
