Default 275 on a 12in wheel

Anybody running a M/T 275 drag radial on a 12 in wheel non beadlock?been looking for a horror story on someone kicking a bead off during a run but haven't found it yet. I'm a 4240lb turbo car no trans brake and the potential to run low 6's in the 1/8.did find someone say M/T said to use permatex hi tack on beads to help.they say you can't use rim screws on a radial tire.has anybody tried that or seen it tried?

Only issue i am aware of is they are a massive pain to mount and seat the bead. Personally i'd run a 10" rim

Default 275

I mocked up a 12 inch wide weld wheel borrowed from a buddy with a 275 to get the correct backspace.using a air cannon tool the tire went right on.maybe I got lucky.I'm going with Sanders 750 series wheels.

cant sppeak for your power or a 12 inch wheel, but hi tack and the 275s is a plus on the 10'' wheels i run. low 6s on 275s. I was looking at a set of 15x12s that had 275s on them on face book market place they really had a wide tread. looked odd, i was hoping they were 315s and i would have bought them, but he did not have bead locks on them.

15x12 on a 275 non beadlock is my plan when i do my new housing, hopefully i can find a wheel for mockup first, it might convince me to go with a 10. HAHA

What is the widest wheel the tire manufacturer recommends? My Nitto 555's(275/60-15) say 9.5" wide wheel is the max. I put them on 10" Bassett wheels and they look perfect. I wouldn't put them on anything wider or they will look like oethel's pics. To me, that's not a good look.

i'd bet most of these pro 275 cars running 3.90's or quicker are on a 12" or more.
