Knoxville craigslist for sale section Pontiacs I saw an ad that included 455 engines for sale. No price though.

If you are looking to buy a engine or other parts that are heavy and expensive to ship, I would give a geographical area where you live so that sellers would have an idea to respond or not.

I have a 72 455 block... catch is that its had all its mains replaced with program 4-bolt mains and both the front & rear mains as well as longer dowels.

I figure block $400.00, $700.00 in main caps + machine work, I still haven't gotten the block or bill from the machine shop...

Long story short, my build started to get out of hand when I decided to add turbos to it. When I realized I would be seeing north of 1000+HP. I got cold feet with the factory Iron. So I ran into some money and picked up an MR1 block.

Ill build it NA one day if I dont find a buyer...

Located in Homestead Florida 33032.

SPEED SAFE, NICK

Western PA shortblock with Oilpan on, and Cam in position. Forged crank, Al rods, flattops so Price is a matter of discussions north/south of $2000 depending on what goes.

FYI - shipping a block only should only be 150-250 bucks depending on if you where willing/able to pick it up at the local terminal or not... not cheap but if your really wanting a block... it shouldn't break the bank.

Was told by KRE that it would cost $450+ to ship one of theirs. Butler's site shows $299. So 150-250 doesn't sound bad. Time for some research & thx for the tip.
