Default RAV INTAKE

I'm with Mr. GTO on the availability of an EFI version of the manifold. I would like to see one that flows more than the Torker II, and fits under the hood. Great looking stuff. Congratulations.

Yeah - they fit very well after you pay someone to fix them...

Anybody make Ram Air V decals for Formula scoops? Maybe Lynn can make some Ram Air V decals for all Pontiac models.

I can probably do some
give me some time to look on my old computer to see if I still have the Ram Air file.

Sorry, Polar-P. We do not yet have the race flow numbers. This involves Tony Bischoff to finish porting.

We put our head on an uncalibrated flow bench with zero clean up and a surface cut, but no good valve job. The prelim test and it was almost 360 cfm@600 as cast compared to the stock head at 312. This is with a 25 to 30% smaller cross sectional area. We have had Tony do some final touches and put a good seat for final numbers to be changed in the tooling.

I will publish the final numbers on RamAirV.com. We are extremely optimistic about the ported stuff making serious Pontiac power.

Tom we are building regular and Tri=Y. We have fixtures for 68-72 GTO, 1st Gen and 2nd
Gen Firebird. We will be testing them on the 480 cu inch street crate motor for best sizes for the street.

Lynn, what does Tony think about the pushrod tube and it possible causing issues with the air/fuel? Are these heads offered with the foil design pushrod tube or just the tube?

We already have them set up for production. Tri-Y or regular. Later we are going to make stainless steel (needs special dies). We have 64-72 GTO, 67-73 Firebird with more to come. We are also working on a mock up system for custom headers. We are going to the dyno to determine the best streetable header for a RA-V.

We havent seen much difference in flow with or without. Tony is so excited about these heads. The wet flow evaluations havent been done, but they will. As with all engineering concepts and designs you maximize the advantages and minimize the disadvantages. It is my believe that when you do all this, the RA-V comes out on top till you hit the limited bore sizes. So......we are addressing that too.

hummm...ebay and craigslist here I come. It is now time to find a 69 Firebird body. A pure stock appearing Ram Air V 69 Firebird would be the ultimate in my mind. Dog dishes and all.

RARE needs to make factory style exhaust manifolds for us original type guys...

I was going to at a later date do RA-V exhaust manifolds, but I heard one of my best Pontiac buddies is already doing that, so we will see.
