I've been running the standard 23 ounce Accel points to 7,000 rpm for years without a hiccup. In one car I now use them to trigger an MSD box and the setup works flawless, extremely simple, and will run without the box if that ever fails, so it's a setup that will never leave me stranded.

I was usually using Delco Unisets. Echlin, I don't remember any more. I've had a couple Pertronix fail too, I admit. I'm keeping a spare 1111946 distributor ready for my GTO that has points in case of EMP.

Also have a spare points distributor for my Gto. I do have a 1970 1111105 455 YH 0D16 4-16-70 reman distributor and not used . Can email me at docwilcar@hotmail.com if interested.
