Many, many things to go wrong or to be off a little. But I'll get there. I hope I've covered everything well. Will know when I start it. No better feeling than to have something you've worked so hard on fire right up. Hope to feel that again soon.

LOL. Troy. A Very Merry Christmas to you too.
My up pipes were not welded yet so I went and brought them home for the weekend so I could mock it all up. My son is coming over for Christmas so I wanted to kind of put it all together to show him. So I got pics. Passenger side up pipe and turbo mounted. Drivers side up pipe installed and turbo mounted. Everything together and clamped in place. Intercoolers with turbo to intercooler pipes. The intercooler heat exchanger. The intercooler water tank clamped above the intercoolers. And a couple of aluminum pipes just inserted into the blower scoop to simulate how they will run/look. And a front shot. Merry Christmas everybody. Mark L

A Very Merry Christmas to everyone and a Very Safe, Healthy, and Happy New Year. Today, Christmas Day, it is going to be 70 degrees. We've decided to have Christmas dinner outside next to the pool. First time in my life that I've ever done that. Everyone enjoy the day and your loved ones.

I'm building this to run on E85. I need a little bit of a reserve fuel supply for between E85 stations. I found a 32 gallon fuel cell at Sundays swap meet. I had an aluminum 26 gallon but not sure of the welded seems, if they were solid and leak proof. Was not sure if the 32 gallon would fit the trunk but it just makes it. It is all the way forward in the trunk and the radiator actually pushes against it, but fits. For $25 I took the chance.
This is the old aluminum cell. It was originally for a boat. This is the 32 gal cell placed in the trunk. Tight. Mark L

I also bought a different tunnel ram since that last one was so messed up. This was machined fine but someone in the past needed to narrow down the ports in it to fit a smaller head port. So they epoxied aluminum strips into the manifold port walls to close it down. I need the ports to be full size again so today I chiseled out the filler strips and most of the epoxy. Later I'll get out the long porting bits and clean out the rest of the epoxy left in there. I'll also clean up the casting in the plenum at the top of the port transiton. I'm waiting fo rnew intake gaskets to come so I can port match the manifold to the head ports.
This is a normal open port. There's a little bit of gray epoxy still on one wall but that will go away whey I port match. This is the epoxied port opening. You can see the aluminum and the epoxy quite clearly. This is a top filler coming out. this is the side. And the removed pieces. Mark L

Well, I finally got the hot side pipes all done. I mounted the shorty headers with the exit towards the front of the engine. This keeps the header heat away from the starter on the drivers side and the oil fittings to the block and lines on the passenger side. The piping then 180's back and up, just behind the center ports, to a V-clamp, and then forward and up to the turbos. Where the pipe leaves the header collector and 180's back and up, I installed the wastegate feed in flow off of the bottom of the 180 and back. You can see that in the first pic. So the wastegates will set pretty much right where a conventional header collector would set.
Just realized I mocked up the piping wrong. The second pipe that goes to the turbo should be setting on top of the v clamp above the wastegate, not where it is setting in the pic. This is a shot high over the engine bay. You can see the turbo placement and the 3 inch to 4 inch cones off of the exits of the turbos. The cones still have to be cut down to 4 inch diameters yet to match up with the polished stainless 4 inch exhaust piping. So now I start on the exhaust pipes. I'm thinking of running it down under the frame and all the way to an exit in front of the rear tires. Or just cut the fender bottoms and mount them solid/permanent with the exhaust coming out of the fender and right out to atmosphere. The turbos will act as mufflers. Out of the fenders would be much simpler. My band saw took a dump and I was with out anything to cut metal (correctly/easily) but I found a deal on a Rockwell band saw and a full standing drill press. So I am now officially back in business. Glad to see you making progress, Mark. Looks great.
Can we park our Catalina next to you in the Pontiac Heaven car show? Or will you be busy going down the track? Jim

Please. Park next some so the people have something gnice to look at. I hope to have it running but probably not track or street drivable yet. But hopefully moving under its own power. I'm getting sick of winching it on and off of the trailer, LOL.

OK. Did a little exhaust work today. 4 inch polished stainless off the turbos back to the firewall and down. I left the exit long yet so I can determine what to do next. I will probably add a pair of V-clamps so I can run a 90 down under and mount a full 4 inch stainless all the way back to the rear tire. But remove that fir a 90 degree turnout right at the bottom of the firewall.
This is the passenger side turbo looking from the front. This is looking up into the fender well of the passenger turbo exhaust. This is the drivers side. This is an overhead shot of the engine compartment. Mark L
