Down to 3 cars last night...here's the story..
Well... what can i say? We had a tree mis-fire, in the 6th round... It required a re-run, between my and Kyle Hall, my archrival(apparently)... Between the 6th round, and the re-run, it started to mist. We had a little break, and drivers meeting, to see if track was good. We determined that it was. On the 6th round(1st attempt), the tree was set for Super Pro, so my cross talk(top bulb came on , with Kyle's 1st bulb)... He was a natural .054, i knew somethin was wrong, and went (amidst the destraction) , a .111(doh)... my win light came on, half way down the track( of course i was happy , but knew it was bogus. So, we came back to the lanes, after a short cool down... it was misting , when we arrived in the lanes. I dialed up .01( going by previous round 1/8 mile time), but like a dumba$$, didnt take into account, the mist(humidity in the air, otherwise known as moisture). Kyle, dialed 12.23, Me, dialed 10.83( did i mention, we were down to 3 cars, and the winner was to make 1,000bucks?), Kyle left 1st, with a miserable ..018( hehe), and i left 2nd, with an astounding .007... but, my car was off about .01-.015, in 60' due, to the humidity in the air, and maybe a little on the track. Eithe way, Kyle, ran 12.236, and i mustered a 10.87 on 10.83. I had a blast, but sure woulda liked to end up in the final... Semis, 2 weekends in a row...not bad... i had one gimme(redlight against me), the rest , i had to earn. AND...the Bird went a 10.817/122.26 with a 60ft time og 1.440, on the 4th round!! What a night!
The 10.81 kinda came outta nowhere, as, i made sure the car was as cool as possible, cause the air ( i thought), seemed to be gettin a little more dense... i normally get it down to 130ish, but this time it musta been a little cooler, like around 100-110... ALmost a 1.43 60 ft! We were running without top pre stage bulbs... the track owner had a new timing system , from the tree, to the computer, and something made the left lane pre stage bulb , not work, so instead of cancelling the race, we all decided to run the race, with no pre stage bulbs... It made for an interesting night... i ran all 7 rounds( includes 6th round re-run), without pre stage bulbs... It made the staging a little tricky , for some guys...and im sure the starter had his hands full, too...

Well, congrats on going 7 rounds.
You did good anyways. I'm surprised they kept on running with the bad tree/electronics and the misting. Congrats on the ET also.

You just won't have any warning when you're getting close. (basically what the top bulb on staging is) As soon as the light comes on, STOP!

No need to hang your head.
There are always many ways to lose. Just try to remember how to correct for them.
