Default 1965 Pontiac Tri Power set up.

I have an original 1965 Pontiac Gto Tri Power set up. It came off a 1968 gto that I acquired a few years back. The intake is a 1965 #9778815 and does have a 1966 tri power water neck on it because of installation on the 68. The Center carb does have the original tag #7025175 the other two carbs I do not see tags. I am no goo-roo when it comes to this year Goat and I am not sure if everything on this set up is original to the 65? This will make a nice set up for someone looking for that original intake and carbs! I am asking $1200 or B/o and yes will ship. The set up has been off the car for a couple years now so the carbs will need attention. thanks Tom

Default 1965 tri power set up

I am making a couple correction on this tri power set up! The intake casting number I posted was incorrect!! it is a #9778818 and the water neck housing on this set up is an original 1964 gto water neck with casting # 9775645 in it. Sorry but am no goo ruu to these years and tri power set ups themself. I am sure someone out here can use this rare Tri power on the goat being an original. Now I am trying to locate the date code for this unit! I will post as soon as I can. Thanks Tom

Default 1965 tri power set up date code

Here is the date code for this unit that was under the back carb. D-19-5 Which makes this a April 19th 1965. I hope this helps and sorry for not posting first!

Those are the right carbs for a tri power. That is how a lot of tri powers are found, missing some parts and modified. It would be worth spending a few hundred dollars to get the correct fuel lines, air cleaners and throttle linkage. It will be much easier to sell.

Default Tri power set up

Thanks Ken for that info! Yes if i end up playing around with this unit i will do just that but will also Blast the intake and rebuild the carbs and hunt down all the original parts that are missing. Then it probably will head to Evil bay! lol thanks Tom

Once it's all cleaned up and looking good someone will want it. New chrome air cleaner lids, fresh air filters and new fuel lines will make it pop. The parts you are missing are easy to find. Don't worry about the which water neck you have let someone else change it if they don't like it.

Default yr of Tri setup

I'm a little curious about the year of this intake as i don't know the years good enough, but i was understanding the 64/65 intakes don't match up on later yr heads. So the thought of this set being on a 68 has me puzzled.
