I have read that a 250 shot on a motor that is properly set up, will drop you about 1.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile. Has anyone gained more than 1.5 with a 250 shot? I am just curious because i run lower 11's and wonder if a 250 will get me a 9?? And yes everything is built to take a 250+ shot. Its a long shot but if i can run a 9.60 or better i can get into my local midnight drags for free all year! Dual stage time!!!

72firebird 3800# 496 316cfm eheads, 11.1:1 compression, custom solid roller, victor 4500 intake port matched, 1050 dominator, continental converter flash 4400 stall. 3.73. 2 inch headers with 3.5 with x to mufflers reduced to 3 inch full exhaust. mallory 250 fuel pump, cal tracs with split monos ..Pump gas 91 octane. |

Same weekend, went from 11.62 @ 117 to 10.30 @ 131 on just a 200 shot. Car has been as quick as 11.40 @ 120 n/a, 10.22 @ 130 on a 200 shot, and 10.12 @ 135 on a 250 shot, but not all in the the same weekend. Best 60' on a 200 shot was 1.46...best on a 250 shot was a tire spinning 1.58.
