Nice looking GTO, SlowGTO!! I imagine that's what my 70 convertible looked like originally -- mine came from the factory as a Sierra Yellow / Sandalwood Int / Sandalwood top 400 w/ auto trans, but one of the previous owners turned it into a Cardinal Red / Sandalwood Int / White top with a manual transmission. Someday I may return it to the original state, but a red convertible is quite an eye catcher!!!

Sorry about the previous post - here's a shot I took a few weeks ago while I was out for a Sunday ride in my GTO - came across a Pontiac dealer with a few 04s outside.

I dont really know yet on what the price will be for the car. I have just a few things left to do to finish the car. When I do Im going to load it up and take it to Jim Mott of JMR restorations and have him look at it and give me a figure. Jim is a nice guy, a friend and GREAT GTO guy. He has built some nice GTO's that have been featured in HPP so he will be able to give me an appraised value. Im just guessing but 18-20K.

BobsGTO,
Thanks, the yellow color will show up lighter on a sunny day. I think a lot of yellow cars are red, blue, black now. The red looks great, and I don't think you are giving up that 4-speed anytime soon. Check out the red one I posted on page 5. 1970_GTO, I know I had your avatar as my computer background for a while. Is that your actual car? Very nice. Those 2004s look like toys next to your 1970. 2manyIndians, From the great picture, I would say 20K easy around here. Maybe start at $25K during the spring time feeding frenzy and see what happens. -Doug |

It's got a 400/.030 over with ported #13 heads. Not the original motor. I took it to the track last Sunday and ran a best of 14.31 with a full street legal setup. Now I've got to work on making it faster. Needs electric fuel pump, air pan, carb update, and 2 1/2 flowmaster exhaust with cutouts. Will be in the 13's next week.
