Prayer sent up for Maggie and her parents. With our 3 girls we've always had good luck knocking back fevers using ibuprofen. I don't even think we have Tylenol in the house...

Well we finally got an answer today. She has three different viruses and they all combined and she got pneumonia on top of it. As bad as that sounds now that they have diagnosed the pneumonia she no longer has a temperature. This is the first day since Saturday she hasn’t hovered in the 105 region so thank god. Thank you for all your prayers.

Well got some bad news she keeps testing positive for new viruses and they can’t get her heart rate down. I am of course a nervous wreck and the doctors tell us it’s no big deal but you know how that is. Please continue to send prayers because this is really beginning to weigh on me.

As people on PY see the updates, they will continue to pray for your daughter and family. The power of prayer is great, as is the power that answers those prayers. Have faith, and God will be with you and yours.

Well we got ready to be discharged today and had loaded the car and changed her clothes when they came running in and told us a heart enzyme test had shown that certain cells might be attacking her heart so after a rush ambulance drive to another hospital 45 minutes away we were told it was a false reading. She is fine and is home and everything is good so far. Thanks to all those that sent prayers and words of encouragement I appreciate it. Maggie moo is asleep beside me as we speak

I am very thankful that things turned out the way they did but I am a little pissed about the way the first hospital handled the discharge. They told us we were going home. Maggie got excited I went and loaded the car Maggie got dressed was about to head out when this resident comes in and said that they had just got the final lab an unexpectedly received news that the enzymes were attacking her heart. That scared us plus then we got told she had to be transported by ambulance which even further scared a 2 year old girl that thought she was finally getting to go home. We get to the big hospital she’s upset cause it’s not home and then they do an EKG and more blood work (kids been stuck at least once if not twice a day since we been there) only to tell us the smaller hospital is full of **** and she’s fine. Then we have to go thru unhooking her from everything AGAIN and you all know how that tape is. All the while she’s crying wondering if this is real this time. I made sure to let the nurse teams do all the bad stuff so I could be the good guy.
