71-72 A-Body Side Glass Blow Out Clip Rivet Source
So restoring the side glass seal channel, the piece that screws to the body and holds the seals in place.
The one corner piece, plastic, is no issue, it has plastic tabs that you mash with a hot screw driver tip. The blow out clips, the ones that are dipped/coated in plastic, which are available/repop, don't come with the required rivets. Where can one source those replacement rivets? What size and material are they? Any tips on removal/install would be appreciated too! .

Can anyone provide dimensions or a GM part number for the rivet?

As I remember they were just a standard metal rivet. Hardware store stuff. I have two bars that I would use one thats a cone shape I put in the center to start smashing the rivet. The next is a flat one to peen the edges good on the sides. I forgot you need to put a round bar in a vice and put the head of the rivet on it to back it up. I'll check I'm sure I have some around. If you can get me close in size. I think they were 1/8 in wide maybe 1/4 long?

On my car, the clips were attached with semi-tubular rivets. I got the rivets and clamping dies from this website: http://www.pinrestore.com/Riveting.html

Yes, they are semi-tubular rivets I believe. And do you recall the size? 1/8 by 1/4 length?

Here's what the rivets look like . There is a tool to crimp them if you dont use a bar to flatten them. I know my local hardware store does carry them.

Eh, I may have to just buy an assortment and live with the leftovers, can find any that have the size info.
