Thanks guys....yeah Lyn, NOS trim rings on fresh paint is like nails on a chalk board. Had a hard time getting them on. I took the NOS caps back off and installed the cap lock py sells. Much easier to install...plus I can orientate all the caps the same way. If you've ever installed nos caps, you know it's a b*tch!

Pat - very nice. The wheels and tires look great, and the car is going to be fantastic. Can't wait to see some color and I'm sure you can't either. How's the engine coming along?

Engine work has begun....their area where the machine shop is located was hit pretty hard recently with tornados and hail, so his help has been out taking care of some of the damage. Projected to be done by the week of the 25th.

Just heard from Bob Ashton, my car has been invited to take part in the unveiling portion of the MCACN show this Year! Lots to do yet till then, but I am stoked! Hopefully I'll have it in my hands before May........Steve?!? .

I really enjoyed seeing Gregs car unveiled last year......so much to think about....truck, trailer, crowd control barriers....Greg, I'll be bending your ear! I hope a lot of you guys out there are able to go to the show and see the transformation this car has gone through! Been a long time coming.....hard to believe this thread was started in 2006. To be completed November 21, 2015!

Congrats Pat, I'm afraid I'll miss it again this year due to family obligations but I'm going to do my best to attend.

Congratulations Pat! Another very well deserved car and owner! You know how long I have waited to see that car in person and I cannot wait to see it there completed. Best of luck.

Mr. Brown,

Love the updated pictures. Will wife/daughter be with you also? Been a while since seeing this in your basement - can't wait for final outcome!

Update Mike? Lol! Yes...she finally has some color!! They put 4 coats of clear on just today. I'm getting excited now. He just needs to put in the headliner, front/back glass and put it back together and then I should get it back so I can complete the interior. Not sure on that time line though.

Oh, and there was some confusion on my discussions with Bob Ashton, and unfortunately, my car doesn't qualify to be part of the unveilings show. Since I am leaving parts of my car unrestored, it doesn't meet the criteria. BUT, I will be there and part of the show. I may take it to Louisville IF I can get it together in time. I have lots to do, once I get the car back.

Syd and Sandy will be in Chicago with me Kurt, but not in Louisville. You able to break down this way to ride over to POCI with us?

Here's a few more pics..she's close now!
