Intake gaskets
Wondering what guys are using that holds up really well for over sized intake gaskets?
Gasket I used are 1.20x2.40 on Edelbrock heads. I had a set of these gaskets split and cover the ports some. Thanks Link:https://tinindianperformance.com/pon...%20gaskets.htm

My High ports were ported to that size but using those gaskets the bolt holes I had to redo to line up. Not on a motor yet.
SCE I think only has up to 2.350 tall.

Tin Indian has a new performance gasket, vs the old school paper gaskets I previously purchased. Installed a set on my 325cfm heads- but only been a few weeks now. Material seems good to the eye.

The FelPro 1233 is only about 2.200" tall.
Unless changed the Tin Indian gaskets are a knock off of the SCE gaskets. Butler lists a 2.240" tall gasket: https://butlerperformance.com/i-2445...-128104-2.html Here is Summit: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/s...ntiac#overview .

Intake gaskets have went to poop. Used to use SCE gaskets and could go two seasons testing manifolds more than a dozen times on the same pair of gaskets. Nowadays they don't seem to be oil, anti-freeze or crack resistant. If you're lucky a new set won't tear pulling the manifold off a never fired before engine. We've been using custom made Cometic manifold gaskets and so far no issues. We've only been using them for a couple of years so not a ton of feedback...... However all the gasket manufacturers got the memo to increase prices.

SCE can also make a .120 thick also. I have an intake that someone milled 0.060 too much just on one side! So different gaskets.

We try to keep .030/.060/.090 and .120 thick in stock for that reason. It also helps to align the ports.

intake gasket
I had Flatout gaskets make me a custom set for my WP Eheads. I think it's .060 but it is a steel coated gasket. They went up in pricing as I bought a spare set. This reminds me of Felpro but fits a WP heads.

Best bet would be to call them with your port dimensions and hopefully they have a match.

Are those doubled up or just single to do that? I used to have to run double, but ended up having a local guy make me some aluminum copies of the gasket and glued them to the intake. These are a 380 Highport gasket

Mine was just the single gasket .060 on each side. Not sure why it did that. I don't use any sealer on the gaskets. Did not have any vacuum leaks. Almost looks like an install issue on my part. I always trim the gaskets to get a perfect fit. I install a new set, we'll see how they last. But looking for a stronger gasket. Thanks for all who posted info.

I have good luck with the Butler gaskets. The ones from Tin Indian I had issues with them coming apart.

I had to use one 0.060" and one 0.120" gasket from Butler with my Victor/Dominator to get good port alignment. They only needed a small amount of trimming to fit well.

Thanks Description 1.20 x 2.40 Pontiac intake manifold gasket .060 thick in our D7900 material which is more durable material that stands up better to alky and other more corrosive fuels. Gasket is used on the 325 cfm and 340 cfm KRE D port heads as well as a few of the standard pushrod location KRE High Port heads. Gaskets are sold in pairs.
