66-67 Convertible glass rear window
I have a glass rear window off my '67 Lamnas that I saved from the old top that was removed......anybody know if they are worth anything? Can't seem to find a value on one since they don't appear to be available new.......??

Don't know the value, but 66 convertibles had a plastic rear window. Glass started in 67. Just an FYI. Jim

i was told they were worthless - i had one for a while
A few people told me they can't easily be sewed back into a new top - that it wasn't worth the headache and to buy a new one if you wanted the glass window Just what I was told, though. I'd like a glass window when I get a few top and started to ask around

are they sewn into the back top fabric or glued/bonded? That being the case new tops already come with glass installed. so your market is limited to people with new tops witha broken glass.

When I replaced my top recently, I looked for one for a '67 with glass....never found one......all the ones I saw were plastic.

Unless you were able to save all of the material around that part of the top with the window (the vinyl it is bonded to) the window is of no use. The top itself is a seperate peice. The glass windows werent used on convertible "A" bodies from the factory until 1968.The glass would be worth saving if it has the whole part intact.
