My car is a 45k mile with most of it's born with parts. The best resource in this site is "Mr. W72" John Witzke's red W72 auto 1977 T/A with under 12k actual miles. I used several of his photos for some of the small details that were lacking from my car.

Hope to help. Everything on my engine is original, refreshed, and returned to its original place by me, including wires, hoses, 100% . Let me know what you need.

W72 with blue valve covers? That's fascinating, I've only ever seen them with chrome valve covers

The '77 W72 that I had came with chrome valve covers and as I recall, they weren't as well polished as the factory valve covers from the 60's.

ALL W72's had the flash chromed valve covers with FC-65 oil cap. L78's had the painted valve covers...
