1974 350 4 speed clutch
Going to need to replace clutch pack and maybe flywheel in my Firebird formula 350 soon.Did it come with a 11 inch flywheel and clutch like my past 455 T/A's and what would you recommend for a good quality set up for street only ,so its easy on the left leg for a 66 year old pontiac nut.

I have an 11" LUK Clutch in my 455 GTO. I would imagine you have a 10.5" in that 350. Easy on the wallet and the left foot, and I'm a bit older than you are. Summit has them.

I've been using and recommending SPEC clutch & PP setups over the last number of years, not expensive, and work very well, for long duty cycles/use.
Granted, they were on cars that required better holding due to power levels, but they do make a range of clutch/PP setups base on power levels. You can search here, believe the SPEC setups might be rebranded, since others have compared them with other brands. Those too, the other brand ones with the same design, were considered excellent setups by the poster(s) who pointed out they may be rebrands. https://specclutch.com/ They use new, higher 'tech' materials for the discs, and even the hybrid/multi-material setups work well on the street. (Without chatter or on/off engagement shock). .

You have to search app by using 'GTO', looks like other bodies are limited on searches:

correct me if I'm wrong here, but wasn't the 11" clutch only used on 455's?
I thought the 350's and 400's all used a 10.4" ?

I have a 74 4spd Formula and the disk is the same size as the 400. Difference is that the 350 Formula has a Saginaw transmission, and the 400 came with Muncie transmissions. All 455's had 11 inch clutch units and the 350 and the 400 had the 10.4. The spline count is what you need to know when you order the clutch.

/\ interesting;
I would have thought that the optional four speed would have been a Borg Warner; maybe GM decided that the 2bbl engines ALL recieved saginaw transmissions. I believe that, like the three speed Saginaws, the four speed Saginaws retained the "coarse" spline input of the 1970 & earlier four speeds.

Well I guess I will have to pull and see if it has the coarse spline input shaft before I order any parts.And yes the 350 engines came with a Saginaw.

Have seen factory flywheels with Both bolt patterns for 10 5 and 11" clutch pressure plates.

The Saginaw has ten spline input shaft. I have a Hays flywheel in my 71 GTO with an 11 inch clutch assembly, Saginaw four speed transmission.
