Possible new addition
I'm looking at a low mile Firebird (21,000). It needs exhaust (at least a muffler). Should I go Gardner or Waldron? Or, it there another stock style player?
Ohh, it also has a modified NOS air cleaner in the trunk...

Nice find! I hope it works out.
I'm happy with my Gardner. It's over 20 years old and still looks like new and bolted up like stock. They're aluminized inside and out. The downside for you though is they only sell complete systems so you couldn't source them for just your muffler. |

Another Gardner vote. I’m in the process of installing my Gardner system now on my 71 T/A, and the quality and fit are top notch!! They don’t sell parts, full systems only.

I have the Pypes 2.5" system with their transverse muff on my '74...fair quality but the price was right

You can order just a muffler from Classic Exhaust. I've installed 5 systems from them and they sound like the factory muffler. Aluminized also.

Will not use them, period. Ordered a kit off of eBay apparently while he was having health problems, Luckily I got a system, but after a long wait. Never installed, maybe I'll steal the muffler...

For the money, I'd rather have had a '70 Formula 400 RA.
I haven't paid for it yet, so 'til then, it's teasers. And, not many as I didn't take many pictures.

May have found someone to tackle the exhaust, but they didn't leave me a warm fuzzy...
https://timscustomexhaust.com/ I wonder how good these mufflers are? https://www.classicindustries.com/pr...E&gclsrc=aw.ds https://www.classicindustries.com/pr...E&gclsrc=aw.ds I can say where it was purchased from...

Too bad I didn't get it before they readied it for resale. I can't read the tag...

I see one head gasket notch. That suggests a 350-ci engine.
I also see a heater hose holder, which means non-A/C. (As if the lack of the compressor and associated brackets on the passenger side cylinder head wasn’t enough!) And then there’s the shade of engine blue! |

By the belt warning on the speedo, and the engine blue, it has to be a late 72 or early 73. My guess is a late 72 350 Sundance bird.

Sorry you've had bad service from them, I've had nothing but good service. Saying that, the last system I ordered from them was 3 years ago.
