67 gto wiper motor not working
It works if i run clip wire from + post on battery and a clip wire from - terminal to motor. Plug it in to the car, nothing. Power is there when i turn on wiper switch, so its getting power. Won't run. Whats going on???

"Power is there". What about ground? It worked when it was hooked up to negative. When motors use mounting points for ground, paint can easily interfere

If I recall correctly, the wiper is one of those things that are turned on when a ground is provided... similar to the interior lights where 12 volts is always present on the light but the ground is provided by the door switch.

The hot + wire is present at motor when key is on. Dash switch delivers the ground - to the motor. Motor case ground is there for it to continue to the park location after dash switch is turned off.. Hope this helps.

LET, have you tried putting the negative jumper to body ground instead of battery negative? I'm talking about when you put the positive wire to the positive terminal of the battery.

I ran into what was a grounding issue with the wipers in my 67. At the time it was a new car to me. I got mine to work as you did. Mine ended up being a missing ground, A flat metal that fit to the wiper motor and headlight switch. I only realized the missing part when looking at a dash cluster that I had. Once I added this the wipers worked properly. Hope this helps.

The wiper switch ground strap
Here is a photo of a 66 Lemans dash bezel, the ground strap for the headlamp switch + the wiper/washer switch is highlighted in blue.
The '67 GTO/Lemans ground strap has one tiny bend in it that is different from a 66 but the overall mounting and location of the strap is the same.
