It is uncanny how much your car looks like mine.
The sump in the tank-The grey primed whale tail.
And my car is black. It's a 1970. LOL

The plan is to take the car to the track on the 18th. That just so happens to be milan dragways grudge night. If the car runs well mabe ill take some poor saps money in a grudge race. "Its just a full weight firebird with a pontiac 400 in it".

Took the car to the track today. It went 10.84 at 124mph. I need to figure my suspension out. It was spinning hard off the line

With those heads and your compression that combo is capable of very low 10's or high 9's with the right cam, a well set up suspension, slicks and maybe a little more converter.

Tim. If i could have gotten some more passes in i think i could have gotten a 10.70 out of it that day. I need rear shocks bad. I kept going faster in et but slower in 60' because of it spinning. Also i still have 245 tires in the front, i do not have front runners. But im very happy for this being the first time having this engine on the track. Im going to do some more tuning on my home built e85 carb and some suspension work before i go back to the track.

NICE for the first time at the track with a new combo! Get it to hook, then you can really get it dialed in.

Along with testing different timing, jetting and shift points, don't forget to test different valve lash settings as well.
