Snell M helmets are for motorcycle, as they are tested against asphalt and concrete, SA helmets are for cars and dragsters and are tested against roolbars...Nuff said...Safety 1st..

Both are legal for NHRA/IHRA classes. Which means the ratings/test methods are pretty close as far as sustaining an impact.
Tell the whole story, then enough has been said. Chance favors the prepared mind. |

Very good Goatman. If they weren't aloud to be used why did i get past tech at some of the toughest tracks around. Also i checked with one of NHRA'S tech advisors & they also said it was fine for my E.T..

I guess I dont't really understand the difference. Last time I checked my roll bar padding was a lot softer than my sidewalk.

The material that gives the impact means nothing. Its the impact force itself you need to worry about. I don't care if its balsa wood or chrome-moly. An impact is an impact.
