Default 1985 Grand Prix with 455 10" TH400 8.5rear

1985 Grand Prix (silver-gray) built for street&strip activity. Been done awhile & runs strong, but this combo never ran the 1/4mile. The car is quick.

Q-JET/Torker-I/HEI/6X-with Ferea valves/455+060/Headers into 3"exhaust system to tails.
Electric Fan.
New ATI-10" 2800-3200/TH400 (on e of my builds)
3.90:1 posi 8.5"rear, special upper&lower bars
Fuel-cell with Holley pump and 1/2" line to engine area.
New tires& rims all around.

Interior Burgundy & gray. Appears stock, with gauges carefully installed into dash.

Street: nothing needed.
Strip: Should install: a new driveshaft & safety loop. Also cut-off switch since battery is in trunk.

Price: $5000 or interesting trades with cash.

Nice looking car HIS. What would be your opinion of what the car would run in 1/4?

3 potential trades declined for common Reason: I cannot take-on a (total) dis-assembled project now.

68 LeMans Survivor would be nice.

Keep those ideas coming.

Is this a bench or bucket interior car? Any frame work done to the car, reinforcing rear control arm mounts or anything? Do you have any other pictures that you could put up?

Thanks,
Troy

It's the Split-Bench, Burgundy cloth.
NO frame work done (don't think it's needed).
Proper PMD Motor Mount Brackets. G-Body Crossmember with TH400.
Not remembering the Rear suspension features (at work right now).
Suppose I make some photos...

Body & charcoal gray paint are factory, mildly weathered. front bumper hit something at like 4mph, ( forget if DS or PS), real minor. Other than that the car body is straight, panel-aligned. No rot in body or Frame except for very minor lower rear quarter-tip rust(behind tires) that is not noticable from stand-up view. only noticed when on ground and poking around.

Has Landau vinyl top over rear passenger roof area, weatherd but all there and carries a good survivor look.

Everything else working, except the AC and heater core was removed underhood. Would need heater hoses and heater core to re-attain heat.

Needs for Reliable Street:
Modern Upper control arms to attain a good castor alignment.
Dial-in the engine idle for cold-start idle. hot-idle is fine.
Electric fan thermo-switch (have) needs installed for automatic elec fan on/off. Fan turned on manually as-needed (stop lights, hot summer highway).

Needs for reliable race:
Aftermarket driveshaft to handle the power if slicks are used. Safety loop. Kill switch installed ( have) for battery in trunk requirement.

Default Im interested

Would you be interested in a trade? I have a 68 LeMans Convertible roller. Someone had previously made it into a GTO clone. Body and frame are in very nice condition, could use paint. It has a 12 bolt wit 3.73:1 gears also a turbo 400 trans. I live in the area (Pottstown). Thanks, Rich
