3250. With D Ports.

I know he is 3700. But he has RA IVs. Still can be done.
My buddy is running 10.0s with #62 DPorts, at about 3600. All steel 66 Tempest.

Like I said, its the whole combination.

in 2000 I made 725 with a 469. don't remember the stroke. victor intake and a dominator. 1.65 harland sharp rockers. went 9.20's in 2350# tube chassis car. put them on another shortblock and went 8.90's

I got the Warrior intake from mike. He did a lot of work on it. He does really nice work. The ports are about 1/4" shorter than on the heads though.

Would I be better off switching to a northwind ported to match the flow of the heads? I'm going to switch from 1.5 to 1.65 rockers before spring. My heads have a four digit numerical code stamped into them. Anyone have any idea what head porter may have done this to heads they ported?

You should get his input on the heads..he ran 9.40's with RamAir 4 heads. I was lucky enough to purchase a shortblock from him.

Remember Ace at PPR. He had a Warrior that Gabby welded up the plenum and gave it more volume.
It ran 9.30s in a heavy 2nd gen with mildly ported E heads done by Dave at SD. 290cfm. On a 400.
They can run, were designed from the start to use spacers for more plenum.
Not much room on a Warrior to raise the port 1/4" though, close.

You can't get the needed port runner taper out of a warrior when starting off with ports made that tall like that at the flange without tons of welding, and then after that as posted your Plenum volume is too dam small!

A Wenzler 2-4 tunnel ram would be my pick for what to start off with in terms of a serious combo like this.

That's true tommy.
Maybe I should have posted how fragile your hands and wrist are after porting a iron Head out to big killer flow numbers, lol!

Yes, you & your dad bring yourselves and some nice hot NYC bread out to Norwalk please!?

Always a classic and cool intake!
Northwind intake is also a good choice
