Inspection/Dust Cover Needed with a Quicktime Scatter Shield?
I am converting my 400ci car from auto to manual (TKX), plan was to use an american powertrain aluminum bellhousing, which fell on the wayside due to availability. I changed to a quicktime scatter shield bellhousing. The aluminum bellhousing had a sheet metal inspection cover. Is inspection cover still needed with the quicktime bellhousing, or can it be returned?

Scatter shields have an engine plate that completes the containment of any flywheel/clutch parts coming apart. The 360° coverage precludes the need or room to fit the original dust shield.

Thank you for the response, being my first clutch install I was completely sure but suspected since it is designed to contain the assembly.

I found a pic of my 37 year old Lakewood scatter shield in front of my 3 year old TKO-600. Today I would be buying a Quicktime and TKX.
