Thank You Gunnie!!
Ah Ha! Now we're getting warm! Crankcase blow by could be an issue. Is it possible that an increase in oil pressure could exist from excess crankcase pressure? The engine has zero gap top rings, I know it has a lot of blow by (missed 3rd once cause, well, it happens) dipstick hit the hood. I also have 5/8" breather hose from the valve covers to the collectors with back pressure check valves as well as a working PVC in the valley pan. I have heard others say they installed an electric vacuum pump with a air oil separator tank and never had another oil leak, how can I check for excess blow by pressure? Anyone know of the best vehicle equipped electric vacuum pump for suction and longevity? Mustang? Volvo? Not paying $$$ for Moroso mechanical pump, do have an open V-belt on the pulley, but saving that for, oh I don't know, torque thrust maybe?

If your not using a rope seal then lip type seals are designed to actually work better with some crankcase pressure pushing on them .
