Default 67 butchered tilt column

picture of the steering column on a 67 lemans for sale in texas via craigslist. looks like a viable car depending on how much work one wants to do but sheesh what the heck was going on with that column? I assume its a tilt column what a shame. theft effort by idiots? says obo might get it for a song.

Have a link?
Interesting wheel covers. They look vaguely familiar... Oldsmobile Toronado, Cadillac El Dorado?

This appears to be the same car, but does not have the exact pic of the steering column:

Definitely the same car and he doesn't even mention the steering wheel. Surprise!

yes thats the car. pic i posted was from some pics i asked him to send. could see all the "lack of angles" of pics in the post like a lot of folks do, everyone knows missing views are big red flags. don't know why he would bother mentioning cragars. none the less, its still a viable car for someone. the column would not stop me from buying it if the rest was in better condition. in this case i get the feeling obo means he would take a lot less. I love the color combo. very nice car in its day. it has the typical rot at the rear windshield of course. my 67 Gto as my first car had that way back in 1978 so no surprise there. if it were in town i woulda made an offer. condition its in and in houston, not worth the effort.

Agree that it looks like a solid car.
