Dropped my heads off for porting and polish??? Not sure what the game plan is yet, we are flowing the heads first to see where the are at.
After measuring everthing the engine was at 9 to 1 compression ratio today. We will probally bump it up after we firgure out the heads and how the current cam will effect everthing.
My build right now is...
750 Qjet/rpm intake/1"spacer
petronix hei,recurved
wt 400,.030 over 2262 pistons
#16 heads stock, 5 angle valve job stock valves
Comp's 292h,244@.050 .501 lift 72overlap 110 ctr.
1.52 Magnum rollar tips. rockers
1-3/4 headers 2-1/2 full exhaust with x-pipe.
I will try to keep the same cam with more ratio on the rockers, Rhoad's lifters.
Where would you guys set the compression ratio at next time around? What would you do next time around???

Call Comp Cams tech line. They will advise you of the "optimal" compression ratio for their cam. I'd guess it'll be at least 10:1.
